What is the Tarot?

Perhaps most famous for their ability to ‘predict the future’, Tarot Cards are in fact beneficial in many other ways.

Tarot Cards can give insight into the origins of particular situations, and even guidance on how to best navigate a given situation. Importantly, Tarot Cards and Tarot readings can also give awareness of the lessons that can be learned from these events.

The Tarot can also be consulted to decide the most suitable course of action from particular situations and provide an opportunity to grow and move on.

The symbols on the Tarot Cards can appear confusing at first. Yet these symbols are recognizable to your subconscious mind and you will be introduced to world of knowledge that has been hidden up until now.

The Tarot is made up of a pack of 78 printed cards consisting of 22 Major Arcana cards (also known as picture cards) and 56 Minor Arcana cards.

During a Tarot reading, the Major Arcana cards explain the psychic roots behind everyday occurrences, whereas Minor Arcana Cards provide insight into everyday events.

The Tarot facilitates a rare depth of learning about spiritual, mental, physical and emotional growth and learning.

A pack of Tarot Cards consists of four suits:

  • Wands
  • Cups
  • Swords
  • Pentacles

These four suits will be discussed in future articles.
